One Dead Following Accident on 405 Freeway 

CHP is actively investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in Culver City Thursday night. 

It was sometime before 10 p.m. when a motorcycle and car collided on the 405 Freeway.

The collision took place within the northbound lanes at the transition from the 405 to the 90. 

Sadly, the rider was declared dead at the scene. Their name is being withheld at this time pending notification of kin. 

There was also a SigAlert issued due to the closure of the transition as investigators worked at the scene. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
