Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Central Road
Investigators are working to determine the cause of an Apple Valley accident that left a motorcyclist dead on Thursday.
The incident took place on May 5th around 10 a.m. on Central Road.
A Yamaha sport bike and four-door sedan collided near Sioux Road under unclear circumstances.
The rider was ejected from their bike and landed pretty far from the scene near a parked vehicle.
Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a local hospital where he sadly died as a result of his injuries.
The other vehicle also sustained front-end damage. It is unclear whether or not any occupants were injured.
An active investigation is underway.
According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death.
