Motorcyclist Killed Following Crash In Santa Clarita

A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after a major accident on Interstate 14 Thursday evening.

The California Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist collided with a big rig on the northbound lanes of Highway 14. The initial accident took place near the junction at Newhall Avenue in Santa Clarita. The impact of the crash caused the rider to fly out of the seat.

At around 6:50 p.m. paramedics arrived at the scene and found the rider unconscious on the road. Personnel pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
