Traffic Accident Involving Motorcycle on I-10 Freeway 

A motorcycle and Honda Civic collided on Tuesday morning in Ontario, resulting in injuries. 

The collision occurred on January 11th just minutes before 9:30 a.m. 

It is unclear at this time what caused the crash on the I-10 Freeway, just east of Campus Avenue. 

Reports included that the rider ended up against the K-Rail in the center divider upon impact. 

Ontario Firefighters responded to the scene to provide aid to the rider. The extent of the injuries has yet to be disclosed and it is also unclear if the rider was taken to the hospital. 

The Nos. 1 & 2 lanes of the freeway were blocked for a period of time following the accident. 

Additionally, a tow truck was also needed to remove the motorcycle from the scene. 

The crash remains under investigation to determine fault. 

According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death. 

Motorcycle accidents, according to the NHTSA, accounted for 14% of motor vehicle accident deaths in 2019. Motorcyclists should be fully aware of the safety challenges in which they face while riding on roads in California. Below are some tips for motorcyclists:
