Motorcyclist Injured in Memorial Day Crash in Huntington Beach, CA

Chanel Garcia was injured in a Huntington Beach motorcycle crash that happened on Memorial Day. The accident happened on Beach Boulevard at around 7:30 p.m., May 31.

According to reports, a truck or SUV struck the back of Garcia’s motorcycle while it was stopped at the light. The bike ended up underneath the vehicle. Meanwhile, Garcia was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. A Go Fund Me page is actively raising money to cover her medical costs as she does not have health insurance.

Authorities arrested Christopher Johnstone, 26, of Costa Mesa, shortly after the crash on suspicion of DUI. Authorities also charged Johnstone with possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
