Motorcyclist Injured After Hit-and-Run In San Diego

A motorcyclist suffered major injuries after a suspected hit-and-run in San Diego. The crash happened on Interstate 805 near El Cajon Boulevard and University Avenue.

According to the CHP, the wreck occurred at about 6:43 a.m. on Thursday morning. It’s unclear how the two collided. Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and reported that the motorcyclist sustained a broken bone. The rider was taken to the hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Meanwhile, CHP said that the driver did not stop to help the motorcyclist. Instead, the driver fled northbound on Interstate 805. Authorities describe the car involved as a black BMW coupe.
