Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash on I-710 Freeway in Compton

44-year-old Hector Vega Bojorquez of Long Beach has been ID’d as the motorcyclist who was killed on Friday night.

The crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. within the southbound lanes of the Interstate 710 Freeway. 

On the night of January 28th, Bojorquez reportedly veered off the roadway under unclear circumstances. 

As a result, the rider ended up driving down the embankment near the Alondra Boulevard off-ramp. 

Bojorquez was ejected from his bike and emergency personnel located him in the traffic lanes upon arrival.

Sadly, despite life-saving efforts, the man died at the scene. 

An active investigation is underway to determine what may have factored into the accident.
