3-Vehicle Collision in Manteca, CA

A multi-vehicle collision took place on Sunday afternoon in Manteca on Highway 99.

Minor injuries were sustained following the crash that occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. on October 3rd.

According to CHP there were 3 vehicles involved that collided on the northbound side of Highway 99, just north of the Lathrop Road off-ramp.

Due to the impact, one of the vehicles spun out of control and drove through a fence on the right-hand shoulder.

The other vehicles involved ended up in the center divider.

Paramedics responded to the scene to treat those who sustained minor injuries, however the number of people injured is unknown.

Additionally, one of the vehicles was towed away from the scene.

The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash to determine liability.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
