Fernando Duran-Ortiz Injured in Highway 132 Collision 

Investigators are working to determine liability regarding a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Tracy Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, the accident took place on Highway 132 around 3:40 p.m. on March 17th. 

Fernando Duran-Ortiz was traveling east in a GMC Yukon before colliding with a Ford Focus, driven by Michael Maciel, 71. 

Ortiz suffered minor injuries and sadly Maciel died upon impact. 

Michael Maciel was also the former mayor of Tracy, California. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
