Michael Bernardo and Keandre Allums Killed in Car Accident

A Sunday morning traffic accident claimed the life of two people in Oakland on September 12th.

The deadly crash was between three vehicles and took place around 1:36 a.m. on Interstate 80, per reports.

Keandre Allums, 28, and Michael Bernardo, 46, were the two drivers of a Chevrolet Malibu and Dodge Durango that collided for reasons unknown.

Following that collision, both Bernardo and Allums stopped and exited their vehicles and were hit by an oncoming Mini Cooper.

An unidentified passenger was transported to the hospital after being hit by debris.

Unfortunately, Bernardo and Allums were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, there have not been any injury reports of the unidentified 50-year-old man who was driving the Mini Cooper.

The crash remains under investigation.

JT Legal Group sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Michael Bernardo and Keandre Allums.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
