Injuries Sustained in Mission Viejo Rollover Collision
A rollover collision left two people with minor injuries in Mission Viejo on Tuesday afternoon, January 18th.
The accident occurred at 4:40 p.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway.
According to CHP, 76-year-old Michael Tingley and 65-year-old Maryann Tingley were traveling in a Lexus RX350 at the time.
Reports included that a Kia sedan was driving reckless, cutting vehicles off, causing it to sideswipe the Lexus.
This took place just north of Oso Parkway and resulted in the Lexus rolling over.
Both occupants suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo for treatment.
Additionally, the driver of the Kia fled the scene following the collision.
Police also forced a shutdown of the northbound lanes on the 5 Freeway for a period of time.
The crash remains under investigation.
