Marty Sparling Killed in Bicycle Crash

Man Killed in Adelanto Hit-and-Run Collision 

CHP reported a deadly bicycle accident in Adelanto on Saturday night, August 6th. 

The incident took place at about 10:13 p.m. at US Highway 395 and Cactus Road. 

A vehicle struck Marty Sparking, 59, of Adelanto, under unclear circumstances. 

Paramedics rushed the man to Victor Valley Global Medical Center where he sadly died due to his injuries. 

It was also reported that the involved driver fled the scene after the crash. 

An active investigation remains underway.
