53-Year-Old Man ID’d in Fatal Cathedral City Crash 

A Palm Springs resident ID’d as Martin Marquez, 53, was fatally struck by two vehicles on Sunday in Cathedral City. 

The incident occurred around 6 in the morning on September 4th. 

It was at the intersection of Ramon and Canyon Vista Road when Marquez was hit outside of a crosswalk. 

After an eastbound vehicle struck him, another vehicle hit him and fled the scene. 

The first driver remained at the scene and called for help. 

It was reported that the hit-and-run driver was in a gray/silver SUV. The suspect remains at large. 

An active investigation remains underway.
