Elderly Man ID’d in National City Pedestrian Accident
87-year-old Mariano Pulido fell victim to a pedestrian crash in National City last Tuesday, July 5th.
The incident occurred at 24th Street and Highland Avenue at about 8:20 a.m.
Per reports, Pulido was crossing at the intersection when a northbound Dodge Ram hit him.
The vehicle was turning left and failed to yield to the pedestrian.
Pulido suffered major injuries and sadly died at the scene of the accident.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities.
Authorities shut down the area for a period of time following the accident.
