53-Year-Old Woman ID’d in Kern County Accident 

The woman who died on Wednesday in a semi-truck accident has been ID’d as Maria Guadalupe Escobedo, 53. 

The Lamont woman was a passenger of the vehicle that struck the truck on Corpus Road in Kern County. 

It was reported that the fatal collision occurred on September 7th around 6:45 in the morning. 

Elvira Lopez was the driver of a Ford and she tried to pass the semi-truck but ended up crashing into it. 

Due to the impact, the Ford flipped over and sadly resulted in the death of Maria Escobedo. 

Lopez sustained moderate injuries and the truck driver was left with minor injuries.
