On early Sunday morning, a man who was sleeping in his car was killed after a pickup truck struck the parked vehicle along the side of the road in Pacoima. The driver of the truck fled the scene on foot, according to witnesses.

This crash happened at around 3:20 a.m. along Branford Street and Telfair Ave. Another man who was also sleeping in a separate car suffered back injuries.

Police said beer bottles and drug paraphernalia were found inside the truck.
