Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Verdemont Ranch Road
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatality following a pedestrian accident in San Bernardino Sunday morning.
It was within the 18585 block of Verdemont Ranch Road when a vehicle fatally struck an unidentified man.
The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. under unclear circumstances.
Sadly, the victim died. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of kin.
Investigators are actively working to piece together all of the details of the accident.
There was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
