44-Year-Old Man Dies after Las Vegas Box Truck Accident
34-year-old Jeffrey Dungo has been arrested for being responsible for a hit-and-run box truck accident in Las Vegas.
The tragic accident occurred on December 28th in the east valley around 5:40 a.m.
According to reports, Dungo was driving a box truck in the area of Charleston Boulevard when he hit the male pedestrian.
Dungo fled the scene and was later found and taken into custody by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Both directions of Charleston Boulevard were shut down between Fogg Street and Hollywood Boulevard following the accident.
Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
According to statistics, 20% of pedestrian fatalities include fleeing drivers. In addition, 68% of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians and bicyclists.
