Man Killed By ATV Crash

A 28-year-old man died of injuries he suffered this week in an ATV crash on private property in San Jose, police said.

San Jose police Officer Gina Tepoorten said this crash occurred near Piercy Road just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Jeffrey Davidson Jr., 28, of San Jose.

Davidson was driving an all-terrain vehicle with a fellow passenger when it became stuck in mud at the top of a hill. Both went off the vehicle and tried to free the vehicle. The victim got back on the ATV at one point and it started to roll down the hill. The rider at the bottom of the hill became pinned beneath the vehicle.
