A 20-year-old has died on Wednesday night at a Jack in the Box

Wood was from Velda City, Missouri, a St. Louis suburb.

Police said Charles Wood Jr. pulled up to the drive-thru window at an angle and apparently opened his door and leaned out to try and reach his food. It was added that the car was in reverse and suddenly accelerated in the backward position, pinning Wood against a tree. He suffered injuries to his head, neck, torso and legs and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
