Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 

A two-vehicle crash resulted in major injuries in Novato on Thursday afternoon. 

Per CHP, the accident took place at 12:15 p.m. within the southbound lanes of Highway 101. 

A Toyota Corolla and Toyota Tacoma collided under unclear circumstances near the Alameda Del Prado off-ramp. 

Due to the impact, the Tacoma acquired a broken rear axle and both vehicles were towed away from the scene. 

One person sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

  • Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
  • Exchange information with others involved and document everything 
  • Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
