Two-vehicle collision Left One Person Hospitalized With Serious Injuries
The accident took place on Sunday, August 8th. California Highway Patrol is actively investigating to determine liability.
The collision occurred on Highway 1 near the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park at approximately 5:45 p.m. Two cars, one of which was an SUV, collided for unknown reasons. As a result of the crash, the SUV was overturned on its side.
Firefighters as well as paramedics responded to the scene. One person, who has not been identified, suffered major injuries to the face and was rushed to the hospital.
California Highway Patrol had to enforce a partial closure of Highway 1 for a period of time following the crash.
