Pedestrian in Critical Condition Following Crash

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Las Vegas on Monday morning, November 15th. 

The incident took place around 1:43 a.m. at Tropicana Avenue and Koval Lane.

According to video footage, a Toyota Sienna was driving eastbound on Tropicana when a group of pedestrians crossed. 

Per police, the pedestrians crossed against the walking signal and one darted directly into the path of the Toyota. 

The pedestrian was taken to UMC Trauma for treatment and is in critical condition.

Authorities also shut down lanes for a few hours pending investigation. 

The involved driver also stopped and was fully cooperative with authorities.

  • Always be aware of your surroundings
  • Avoid distractions (use of headphones, cell phone) 
  • Obey traffic laws & signals
  • Always use crosswalk
