Two-Vehicle Crash Reported on Highway 111

A Toyota Camry and Cadillac collided in Brawley on Monday afternoon, resulting in major injuries.

The accident took place at about 1:22 p.m. on Highway 111 on August 8th.

It is unclear at this time what caused the accident. 

Due to the impact, the Cadillac went off the road and overturned into the New River, becoming fully submerged in water.

A woman was trapped inside of the Cadillac and all occupants were rescued by 1:42 p.m. 

Investigators are actively working to determine fault for the collision.

  • Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
  • Exchange information with others involved and document everything 
  • Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
