Injuries Reported after a Crash Involving a U-Haul

A Butte City car crash that involved a U-Haul truck took place early Friday on Highway 162. The collision was logged at about 2:25 p.m. on July 9th on state Route 162 also known as Biggs-Willows Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Both of the drivers of a Ford Explorer and a U-Haul box truck collided due to unknown reasons, police said. One person suffered a major leg injury in the crash. The injured person was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center. It’s unknown at this time if anyone else suffered injuries. Also, police have not released the names of the drivers involved at this time.

Meanwhile, both vehicles required tow trucks. The Ford suffered major front-end damage. Investigators seek to determine the cause of the Butte City car accident. So far, it’s unknown if anyone was cited for any traffic violations.
