Man Killed in Madera County Crash at Highway 152 and Road 16

A car crash killed at least one person at Highway 152 and Road 16 in Madera County.

According to an article published by the ABC 30 News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before before 7 a.m.

The incident happened when for an unknown reason a silver Ford Mustang ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 152 and Road 16 in Madera County.

The California Highway Patrol said in the process, the Mustang slammed into a black Honda Accord. Both cars obtained damage upon impact.

Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Chowchilla. They found a man in his 50s driving the Honda who sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital, where he soon died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

The report did not mention if the driver of the Mustang ended up hurt following the incident. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 152 and Road 16 to shut down for a time after the wreck.

The cause of the fatal Madera County crash is still under investigation.
