Melina is an attorney in the litigation department at JT Legal Group. She handles all personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
Melina completed her undergrad at California State University, Northridge where she majored in English and minored in Political Science. She then attended University of La Verne, College of Law and was scholarship recipient. While in law school, Melina served as a Clerk to Judge Gregory Keosian at the Appellate Division of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and as an Intern at the Riverside City Attorney’s Office and Van Nuys Superior Court. She also volunteered over 500 hours with the Neighborhood Legal Services and Homeless Court in Los Angeles.
Melina is licensed to practice law before all state and federal courts in California. Her practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, elder/dependent adult abuse and neglect, and insurance bad faith.
Prior to joining JT Legal Group, Melina was a defense attorney representing large insurance companies and their insureds, including both individuals and businesses, on liability, exposure, and settlement values in similar cases. She now uses her prior experience as a defense attorney to represent and advance the interests of the seriously injured in injury related claims. Melina has experience in all phases of civil litigation, including discovery, law and motion, pre-trial motions, and post-trial motions.
Melina has been selected to the 2020 and 2021 Southern California Rising Stars list, and Lawyers of Distinction. She is also on the Board of Directors with Montrose Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce where she volunteers her free time in supporting and advancing community life and small businesses.
