46-year-old Man Was Struck By Multiple Vehicles On The 710 Freeway

The fatal accident took place around 5:30 a.m. on September 20th according to CHP 

Reports stated that Arthur Starks Jr. was homeless and he was struck by multiple vehicles after standing in the southbound lanes. This occurred under the Ninth Street Bridge where he was initially hit by one vehicle, then multiple after his body laid on the freeway.

Sadly, Starks was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The involved drivers did not stop at the scene, however they did provide statements to authorities later that day.

According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
