Highway 65 Crash Leaves 1 Seriously Hurt
CHP reported a major injury collision involving a big rig Wednesday morning in Lindsay, California.
The incident took place at 4:44 a.m. within the southbound lanes of Highway 65.
According to reports, a vehicle rear-ended the big rig for unknown reasons on the morning of March 30th.
An injured party had to be airlifted due to severe injuries that were sustained.
Investigators are actively working to determine the cause of the accident.
According to the NHTSA, nearly 2.5 million rear-end collisions are reported each year in the U.S. More specifically, they are responsible for 28% of all crashes.
In addition, rear-end collisions account for 950,000 injuries and 2,000 deaths each year.
These types of crashes are often the result of distracted and reckless driving.
