Woman Killed, 26, in La Puente Collision

Two vehicles collided on Sunday morning because of a drunk driver on November 7th.

As a result of the collision, 26-year-old Stephanie Hernandez died at the scene of the accident.

The fatal crash occurred around 12:21 a.m. at the intersection of Orange Street and Temple Avenue.

In addition, Serrano was transported to the hospital prior to being booked on suspicion of DUI.

The crash remains under investigation.

According to NHTSA, more than a quarter (25%) of accident-related deaths are linked to the use of alcohol. With that being said, according to the CDC, there are 30 people that are killed everyday in a car accident as a result of an alcohol-impaired driver. That is equivalent to one death every 50 minutes.
