Fatal Traffic Accident on Cypress Avenue 

CHP is actively working to determine the cause of a fatal crash that occurred in King City on Tuesday night. 

It was at 8:37 p.m. when an Acura collided with another vehicle on Cypress Avenue. 

Due to the impact, the Acura rolled over onto a reservoir and became submerged. 

Unfortunately, one person was killed as a result. Their identity is being withheld at this time pending notification of kin. 

An active investigation remains underway. 

Statistics show that rollover accidents account for about one-third of all fatalities in the U.S. In  addition, 30% of vehicle fatalities are rollover crashes. These types of accidents are far more likely to result in a fatality than non-rollover crashes. 

Always make sure to wear a seatbelt, obey traffic laws, and avoid distractions while driving.
