A 49-year-old motorcyclist from Citrus Heights was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing into a big-rig, Thursday morning around 10:00 a.m. on Sierra College Boulevard and Indian Oaks Drive, according to California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist in a 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster was headed toward a big-rig.

56-year-old Matthew Comach was driving a big-rig headed southbound on Sierra College. As Comach was making a left turn onto Lower Ranch, cars slowed behind him. Soon after, the motorcyclist in a 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster swerved into oncoming traffic to pass the cars but ultimately crashed into the big-rig instead.

The man on the motorcycle was ejected from his seat and was pronounced dead at the scene. Comach was not injured.
