Man Killed in Highway 46 Accident Identified 

88-year-old Donald Lavern Beith has been ID’d as the man who was killed on May 7th in Kern County.

Beith was operating a U-Haul truck at the time of the accident when a tanker truck hit him as it was turning left. 

Beith was traveling east on Highway 46 and the truck was turning left onto the Highway. 

The elderly man was left unconscious and sadly died at the scene. 

An active investigation is underway.
