50-Year-Old Man Dies due to Impaired Driver
Authorities have identified the man who was killed due to an impaired driver in downtown Las Vegas last Friday morning.
50-year-old Julio Maymi-Diaz was the victim of a fatal DUI crash on December 10th.
The collision occurred just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Gass Avenue.
Daysia Brown, 24, reportedly ran a red light at the intersection, causing her to collide with a Toyota.
Diaz was the passenger in the car and died later at the hospital due to multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Brown was arrested and held on $50,000 bail.
No other details have been provided and an investigation is ongoing.
