2 Dead Following Crash on Highway 33
Two people were killed in a Bakersfield traffic accident Saturday evening. One of which has been identified as 22-year-old Jose Wuilver Rodas Cruz.
CHP reported that the crash occurred on March 12th just before 5 p.m. on Highway 33.
Cruz was reportedly traveling north before losing control and drifting into oncoming traffic.
As a result, his vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle.
Sadly, Cuz and his passenger, Mario Gomez Mendoza, 53, died at the scene.
The other involved driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
