John Bandy and Faith Romero Killed in San Andreas Accident

The California Highway has publicly identified two people who died in a car crash on Sunday evening in San Andreas.

The fatal collision occurred on  near Brauns Way at around 9:22 p.m., according to the CHP.

22-year-old John Bandy of San Andreas was driving a 1993 GMC pickup truck eastbound on Highway 12 when he drifted into the path of an oncoming 2024 Ford Mustang driven by 22-year-old Dylan Butler of Copperopolis.

Bandy and 21-year-old Faith Romero of Copperopolis who was a passenger in the Ford Mustang were killed in the accident.

Butler was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of major injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
