Motorcyclist Killed at Chula Vista Intersection

Investigators are working to determine fault regarding a fatal motorcycle accident in Chula Vista on Sunday morning. 

The accident took place on February 6th at the intersection of Telegraph Canyon Road and Medical Center Drive.

It was about 7:20 p.m. when Cogburn collided with a vehicle that was making a left turn. 

It is unclear at this time whether or not Cogbrun drove through the red light at the intersection. 

The rider suffered major injuries and was rushed to a trauma center where he later died due to his injuries. 

Authorities have also not reported whether or not the involved driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities. 

A portion of the roadway was shut down for a period of time following the accident.
