T-Bone Accident on Highway 156 and Highway 101 

One person was injured as the result of a t-bone collision that took place on Wednesday afternoon. 

The accident occurred on November 17th in Prunedale just minutes after 4:30 p.m. 

According to reports, a Ford F-250 pickup t-boned a BMW on the westbound side of Highway 156. 

It is unclear what led to the collision, however the BMW sustained major damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle. 

Paramedics responded to provide aid to one of the involved persons who sustained minor injuries. 

Further details will be provided once CHP concludes its investigation. 

According to statistics, T-bone collisions account for 13% of all traffic accidents and 18% of all fatal accidents. 

The NHTSA has concluded that approximately 8,000 people are killed each year as the result of T-bone collisions.
