Injuries Reported Following Potential Hit-and-Run in Rio Linda, CA

At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 20th Street and Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda. According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:27 p.m.

CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Rio Linda. They crashed at the intersection of 20th Street and Elkhorn Boulevard.

The incident log described the cars as a red Mazda and a red Toyota Camry. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Medical personnel then found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to render help.

The motorist fled eastbound on Elkhorn towards Watt Avenue. The Rio Linda hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
