Two People Fatally Struck In a Big-Rig Accident
Ignacio Guzman-Corona and one other person were killed after being involved in an accident with a semi-truck. The crash happened around 10:50 a.m., at the intersection of SR-86 and Avenue 50. According to the California Highway Patrol, the big-rig collided with another vehicle at this intersection.
After the crash, authorities had to extricate one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. Paramedics pronounced Guzman-Corona and one other person dead at the scene. Information on the other victim has not been released.
Rescuers transported two other people to the hospital with minor and moderate injuries. There is currently an active investigation into the crash.
