Hunter Dixon ID’d As Motorcyclist Killed

A fatal traffic collision claimed the life of a 26-year-old motorcyclist on September 26th in Chico. 

The crash took place around 4:15 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Main Street and 8th Avenue. 

According to police, Pesiaune Finau, 18, ran a red light before hitting motorcyclist Hunter Dixon at the intersection. 

Following that collision, Finau also crashed into a nearby building. 

Dixon sustained serious injuries and was transported to Enloe Medical Center. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Due to the collision the intersection was also blocked off for a period of time. 

In addition, Finau was later taken to Butte County Jail after being arrested for vehicular manslaughter.
