Hit-and-Run Victim ID’d as Jose Silva in Motorcycle Accident

53-year-old Jose Silva has been ID’d as the victim of a hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle on October 16th.

The deadly accident occurred on Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Pacoima, per reports.

At about 8:35 p.m. Silva was riding his Kawasaki northbound on Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

Silva then collided head-on with a 2015 Corolla at the roadway where it merged into a two-way left turn lane.

According to police, Silva was ejected from his bike upon impact.

Following that collision, Silva’s body was struck by an additional driver in a white four-door sedan.

The driver of that car fled the scene, however the driver of the Corolla was fully cooperative with authorities.

Silva was rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately did not make it.

Pacoima is offering a $50,000 reward to anyone who provides information on the hit-and-run suspect.
