East LA Pedestrian Crash Leaves 60-Year-Old Man Dead 

A hit-and-run pedestrian accident left a homeless man dead in East LA last Thursday. 

60-year-old Alberto Northrup was struck by a Chevrolet Malibu at 11:18 p.m. 

The incident took place on Whittier Boulevard on September 1st. 

A witness reportedly followed the suspect that fled on Garfield Avenue and the driver was eventually arrested. 

She has been identified as Lilibeth Cindy Gonzalez, 35. 

An active investigation remains underway.
