Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident Kills Paris Camille Banks in Tarzana

31-year-old Paris Camille Banks was the victim of a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday morning, September 14th. 

Banks was reportedly riding her skateboard around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Tampa Avenue and Oxnard Street.

The driver of a silver 2013-2018 Toyota Avalon struck and killed Banks and fled the scene. Authorities are actively searching for the suspect and are encouraging any witnesses to come forward.

According to authorities, Banks was not riding her skateboard in a crosswalk and she died at the scene of the crash.

There is also a current standing reward of up to $50,000 that the LAPD will give out to anyone who helps solve a fatal hit-and-run. 

According to statistics, 20% of pedestrian fatalities include fleeing drivers. In addition, 68% of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians and bicyclists.
