Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Semi-Truck Collision on Highway 58 

Four children were left with injuries following a hit-and-run crash on Thursday afternoon in Bakersfield. 

CHP reported that the collision occurred at 4:45 p.m. on Highway 58 and Chester Avenue. 

A semi-truck reportedly slammed into a car for reasons unknown on the westbound side of the highway. 

The car was carrying four children and rolled over upon impact. 

When emergency personnel arrived at the scene they treated the four children for minor injuries. 

The condition of the children is unknown. CHP also confirmed that the driver of the semi did not stop or cooperate with authorities. 

Investigators are working to seek answers as to what caused the collision.
