Woman Killed in Rancho Dominguez Pedestrian Accident

64-year-old Sandra Flowers, of Compton, died in a hit-and-run collision on Saturday night. 

Per CHP, the incident occurred at 11:38 p.m. on April 9th in Rancho Dominguez, CA.

Flowers was reportedly walking eastbound on Avalon Boulevard when a northbound vehicle struck her. 

It is unclear at this time what caused the accident.

The woman sadly suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver also fled the scene following the crash and did not stop to provide aid. 

Police are actively searching for the suspect and the crash remains under investigation.
