Fatal Collision Reported in Coachella 

Two hit-and-run drivers fatally struck a man on Friday night in Coachella. 

The tragic accident took place at 10:24 p.m. near Cesar Chavez and Cairo Street. 

Gabriel Garcia, 41, was the victim who was hit by the fleeing drivers. 

He was rushed to the hospital where he sadly died. 

Authorities are still searching for the suspects. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

According to statistics, 20% of pedestrian fatalities include fleeing drivers. 68% of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians and bicyclists.
