Driver Airlifted Following Hesperia Collision

Two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons in Hesperia on Wednesday morning.

The collision took place at 9:43 a.m. at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Ranchero Road.

Per reports, a Ford Transit Connect and a Toyota Sienna were the two vehicles involved.

One driver also sustained critical injuries and was airlifted by Mercy Air 22 to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

In addition, the other driver declined medical transportation.

Investigators are actively working to determine liability.

Head-on collisions are without a doubt the most dangerous types of crashes. They may only account for 2% of accidents, however they make up 10% of all deadly crashes.

In addition, according to NHTSA, more than a quarter (25%) of accident-related deaths are linked to the use of alcohol. With that being said, according to the CDC, there are 30 people that are killed everyday in a car accident as a result of an alcohol-impaired driver. That is equivalent to one death every 50 minutes.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may also be entitled to wrongful death benefits.
