1 Killed, 1 Injured in Hesperia Crash Near Mariposa Road and Eucalyptus Street

A crash killed one person and injured another near Mariposa Road and Eucalyptus Street in Hesperia.

According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:44 p.m.

The incident happened on December 7 when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Hesperia. The cars crashed near the intersection of Mariposa Road and Eucalyptus Street.

The San Bernardino Fire Department described the vehicles as a white box truck, a maroon Ford pickup truck, and a Kia sedan. The Ford obtained major damage and became impaled into the box truck.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and freed the trapped male driver of the pickup truck from the wreckage. The rescued individual soon died at the scene.

The female passenger of the Ford sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed her to a hospital for treatment.

The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. The operator of the box truck ended up unharmed.

Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Mariposa and Eucalyptus to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
