Fatal Crash at Highway 65 and Tea Pot Dome Avenue 

Luis Carlos has been ID’d as the man killed in a fatal head-on collision that occurred on November 6th in Porterville. 

The crash took place at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday evening at Highway 65 and Tea Pot Dome Avenue. 

Carlos, 53, was reportedly heading southbound in the northbound lane prior to hitting a Dodge Caravan head-on. 

Both vehicles were traveling at least 65 MPH. 

Unfortunately, Carlos died at the scene of the crash. 

In addition, the driver of the Dodge was airlifted to Kaweah Health for treatment of major injuries. 

Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash. 

The crash remains under investigation.
